No IOW from me this week

"Let us learn to discern whether the words spoken against us or against God or against the truth are merely for the wind--spoken not from the soul, but from the sore. If they are for the wind, let us wait in silence and not reprove. Restoring the soul, not reproving the sore, is the aim of our love"

~ John Piper from "A Godward Life"~

This week's quote for In Other Words is above. I'm taking a break from writing on the quote this week. Call it blogger's block, or lack of inspiration. I've written several things related to the quote, but keep coming back to the fact that this week my writing is "for the wind." For other Christian women's take on the quote please visit Loni who is hosting this week.

I pray that everything is okay with you and your family. I am not participating this week either...my commitment level has been low lately and I always feel compelled to read everyone's post that participates..and I just don't have it in me this week...too busy rearranging my newly purchased used books on my new used bookshelf ;)

Hello Mipa,

My word, it took me almost two weeks to get over here to thank you for the comment you left at my place. It's been a little hectic here but things seem to be settling down a little.

I think it's so honest of you to just say you didn't have it in you to do this post this week. Nothing wrong with that. I see posts out here all the time, including lots of my own, where I think, "This person should take a little break."

:-) Thank you again for stopping by. Next time I'll try to be a little quicker to respond.

I found you through writer...interrupted.

We have a lot in common. I'm in my late 30s, homeschool my children. (one is 4!)

I just wanted to say Hi!
