Remember Remember the 5th of November

Yesterday was Guy Fawkes Day. It is traditionally celebrated with bonfires and fireworks. Our family went to the firework display last night. Jewel was totally enthralled. Flower giggled and pointed for the first ten minutes, then put her thumb in her mouth, tugged her ear and gave that decidedly "now I'm bored" look. But she snuggled into the pram and was content for the rest of the show and the walk home. It was a lovely evening. Not so lovely were our idiot neighbours setting off fireworks in their back garden 1 foot from our fence and 3 feet from the girls bedroom window, two nights in a row immediately after I put the girls to bed (and that was well after 9:30!) *sigh*

But you really have to love the freedom you live in when a would-be traitor is celebrated with his own day 300 years later. lol!

I love fireworks. Bad neighbours! Glad you had a nice time despite that :)

Sounds like fun! Well except for idiot neighbors. Don't we all have those?

Neighbors can be so annoying sometimes. Sounds like fun and Flower sounds a lot like my T. hehehehe

We've got some idiot neighbors are well, and fireworks are totally illegal here (even sparklers!). But it sounds like other than that, it was loads of fun! We only get fireworks here for 4th of July, I'd love another day to watch them :)

Oh, I have a neighbor like that -- except it is 5 days a week, 6:45 a.m., a Mustang and a 20-something year old boy behind the wheel. It would seem the car won't go without a good, long, loud "rev" first. Everybody we meet knows where we live IN RELATION to the neighbor! He's kinda famous 'round here. We're kinda hoping he moves away before his parents die and he inherits the house for-evah!

Sounds like a fun night. Sorry that your neighbors have been such a pain, though.
