In Other Words--For the Worst and the Best

Photobucket

It was the worst of times...
....life was chaotic,
kids were not listening,
Mom was frustrated,
voices were raised,
feelings were hurt,
forgiveness was needed.

He came for days like these.

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.
1 Timothy 1:14-15

It was the best of times...
....paycheck was on time
bills were paid,
sun was shining,
everyone was healthy,
hearts were happy,
the world was there for the taking,
forgiveness is still needed.

He came for days like these.

For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
Mark 8:35-36

"Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace.”
~Jerry Bridges~

Thank you Father for coming for my worst of times and for my best of times. Make my life worthy. Amen.

Ah The Simplicity!
I love your focus. How you took the gray crazy moments and pulled it into black and white...He is everywhere, in all things. I read this and ask myself where am I looking.
Feeling blessed by your words.

All thru Him,
Cin
